For anyone who might want to know, or could be curious about how other people's brains tick, I wanted to share a little tidbit bout myself and how I find inspiration. There are a lot of times when I can go forever without having a real idea of anything I really want to do. I'll play around with different stock photos for days and not be satisfied with the end results. Those are the Manips that never see the light of day. Any other artist probably knows what I'm talking about. Those crappy little pieces that seemed like a good idea at the time and then you look at it and it seems to be missing something. It could be anything, and it could be nothing, but all the same it nags you until it drives you crazy. Yeah, happens to me ALOT. Then one day I'll hear a song that catches my ear. One of those that I can't seem to get out of my head, and I'm hooked on it. I'll find myself listening to it over and over sometimes. For me, inspiration always initially hits as a color. I see one color that for some reason I associate with the song. Then, as more time passes, it's like Bangkok POW! Ideas flow in like crazy, I can find all the pics and resource material I need, I'll open up Paintshop Pro and BAM, it's magic time, yo? lol
